Terry reports that it is a beautiful day in Nanaimo today. This afternoon his goal is to begin running up the big hill south of the city and end his run as soon as he hits the top.
Last night Chek News had excellent coverage on Terry's run. You can find the link here - it begins at 11:08 minutes into the April 19th 5:00 pm news report. Even Ed Bain gave accolades to Terry as he reported the weather. Ed astutely noted, "You always talk about coming down the island, well, having cycled this island... it's not all downhill. As a matter of fact, it's almost uphill in both directions sometimes!"
True words for any runner, but for Terry this run is not all an uphill battle. In regard to the big hill he faces this afternoon he said, "Don't worry... it is nothing compared to the hill outside of Holberg! And I've got a nice tail wind today."
Terry has an amazing spirit and tremendous endurance. We have no doubt he will make it to the top!
